We are fully committed to raising premium, all natural, healthy beef, and lamb for our families and yours. Our delicious meats come from the finest cattle and sheep available, selectively bred to produce outstanding flavor and tenderness.
We also work with other local farmers, that raise their livestock naturally, by assisting them with the marketing of their animals in the food industry. If you would like for us to market your livestock, contact us at the farm for more information.
BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ANY BEEF OR LAMB ASK YOURSELF THESE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!!
WHY? would you purchase beef and/or lamb, for yourself, your family, or your restaurant that you know absolutely nothing about other than it was purchased at a grocery store meat counter or from a food service company that has no idea of the steer's or lamb's history after slaughter, much less before that?
WHAT? was fed to the animal during the growth process, was it hormones or steroids to stimulate their appetite and promote rapid weight gain? Did the animal get sick or injured and require antibiotics or other medications during their development? Did the animal ingest insecticides or pesticides that were sprayed on them in the feedlot and indirectly introduced into their food and water supply? Was the animal fed insecticides on a regular basis that stay in their system?
WHERE? was the animal grown, if it was not local? And how old was it when harvested?
HOW? long has the meat been processed and how far did it travel to reach your grocery store or restaurant? How long was the meat stored before you bought it?
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!! whywould you put something in your body or sell to your customers, beef or lamb, unless you knew the answers to all of these questions?
If you can handle it and really want to see how your meat is raised in today's mass produced markets, go to www.foodincmovie.com (beware, what you will see is nothing short of disturbing!) and will change your thinking forever concerning what you eat and where it comes from.
Welcome, you have found the answers to the questions!!!
Carolina Natural Farm's, LLC
We have developed a unique program of raising 100% All Natural beef and lamb which constitutes our livestock grazing 24/7 on high quality fescue and bermuda pastures and supplementing their diets with fresh, natural, pesticide free, animal by-product free, insecticide free, LOCAL grain. We never give our cattle or sheep any antibiotics, added growth hormones, steroids!!
Why supplement their diets? We have found that cattle and sheep grazed only on grass yield a meat that is slightly tougher and less flavorful compared to those that are free ranged on quality grass and supplemented with a high quality, natural grain. The grain aids in the marbling process which in turn brings out the delicious flavor you want in your steaks and other beef products and also produces a delicious flavor to our lamb.
*However, if you prefer your steer strictly grass fed, we can offer that as well. Our pastures are well maintained by practicing intensive grazing with scheduled rotations. We also fertilize our pastures and hay fields with a natural liquid fertilizer-not chemically based granular products.
At Carolina Natural Farms, we believe in keeping our cattle and sheep in small herds and flocks to deter them from overgrazing and over populating our pastures. This results in healthy, quality pastures and animals. The small herds and flocks also keep the stress level low for our livestock, which in turn aids in digestion, health, and overall animal well being.
We are certified South Carolina grown family farms!!
